Art is Therapy @ Studio Yellow

“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.”  - Picasso

Let Studio Yellow be part of your journey to seek balance and contentment in your life.

Engaging with any of the Arts is therapeutic. I have learnt through personal experience how getting my hands dirty and doing art can soothe the soul. No matter what the results look like, having a go at making art helps you to take the focus off the complicated parts of your life and gives you time to focus on the power and purity of lines, shapes, colour and pattern.

Making art helps us to learn how to grow from (or through) the difficulties we have experienced.

Many of us find that, as our lives get busier, some things go by the wayside. Gradually we stop doing the things we truly enjoy, to make room for all the things we think we ‘have to’ do. Enrolling in an Art class forces you to commit to assigning time to something that feeds your soul. It gives you permission to indulge your creative side and helps you to develop ‘Mindfulness’.

I created Studio Yellow in Manly West to provide for Adults who are looking for ways to express their thoughts and feelings using art materials. Studio Yellow will teach you real Art skills while also showing you how to enjoy the 'process'.  Combining 'HOW' to use art materials with 'WHY' to use Art materials, translate into countless hours of pleasure.

At Studio Yellow, you will meet people, engage in conversation and escape from pressures of your daily life.

Developing your ability to think creatively could lead to a new direction in your personal life and your career. Making Art, even as a hobby, will help you to be more positive, productive, proactive and innovative....and as your confidence develops your Artworks could become an extra source of income as well.

"There is no doubt that creativity is the most important human resource of all.

Without creativity, there would be no progress, and we would be forever repeating the same patterns."

— Edward de Bono
