Feeling stressed and overwhelmed by our covid-turbulent world?

Some issues of the heart are best explored without words.

Arts psychotherapy is a gentle yet powerful means to connect with self, express emotion, gain insight, solve problems and discover strategies in better handling life. In short, art reveals and heals.

BIO: Vicki Roubin is a trauma-informed Arts Psychotherapist who draws on expressive arts and somatic attunement to help people navigate their unique healing journey. It’s a subject dear to her heart and that of her award-winning memoir, Wobbly, published in 2009 which describes her own longstanding history with depression and anxiety and the self-discovered power of art therapy to bring about awareness and, ultimately, positive change.  Vicki has a Bachelor of Music, a Post-graduate Diploma of Arts Psychotherapy, a Master of Counselling and is currently completing training in Somatic Experiencing™.  Aside from a busy private practice, she is a sessional lecturer of post-grad students of counselling and is the Director of her group Arts Therapy Program called ArtFelt Conversations, launched in 2011.

“I have tried a few art classes since leaving school, but I loved that Studio Yellow is a small, intimate group with a really positive feel. The workshop I attended was a fantastic experience and I can’t wait to use my new skills at home and at work. Natalie has provided me with a certificate of participation, so I am able to claim 4 hours of Professional Development. I love my painting and had such fun today that I will definitely be back for another class.” Rachell P (Primary School Teacher)
