Description

This is a SPECIAL One‑Off Creative Boost to help you achieve Your End‑of‑Year Goals

Saturday Afternoon • Studio Yellow, Manly West Proudly Supporting Queensland Mental Health Week

Feeling the pull to finish a creative project before the year wraps up? Have an idea you’ve been meaning to start — but life keeps getting in the way? Or maybe you just want clarity, direction, and a gentle nudge before the holiday season arrives.

This one‑off session, based on my regular ‘Splat ’n’ Chat’ sessions, is your chance to sit down, breathe out, and finally give your project the attention it deserves — with support, encouragement, and a relaxed creative vibe.

Bring any project you want to start, finish, or get advice on:

  • a painting or drawing
  • an art journal
  • a collage or mixed‑media piece
  • a handmade book
  • a block‑printing idea
  • a creative gift you want to make
  • or simply a concept you want help shaping

You’ll have three peaceful hours to work at your own pace while enjoying the company of others who are also prioritising time for themselves. I’ll be there to offer guidance, suggestions, troubleshooting, and gentle motivation whenever you need it.

Think of it as quality “me time” with purpose — a chance to feel proud, organised, and creatively grounded before the end‑of‑year rush AND support a very worthy Charity (see below).

Perfect for Brand‑New, Tentative Creatives

If you’re completely new to Studio Yellow—or even new to making art—this session is a wonderful, low‑pressure way to check out the space for the very first time.

You don’t need to bring a project if you’re unsure. Contact me via email before the day, and I can supply colouring‑in designs and coloured pencils so you can simply relax, play, and enjoy the creative atmosphere while getting comfortable in the studio.

No expectations. No pressure. Just a gentle introduction to creativity and community.

Supporting Queensland Mental Health Week

This special session is held in honour of Queensland Mental Health Week, celebrating connection, creativity, and wellbeing. As a widow (by suicide), I wanted to create a meaningful way to care for your own mental wellbeing while supporting others in the community.

To mark the occasion:

  • A delicious afternoon tea is provided
  • 50% of all proceeds will be donated to Lifeline
  • A donation box will be available for anyone who wishes to contribute further to this much-needed service.

You’ll also enjoy:

  • A relaxed, supportive space to focus on your project
  • Personalised advice, feedback, and creative direction
  • Access to Studio Yellow tools and materials (or bring your own)
  • Optional colouring‑in sheets and pencils for beginners
  • Afternoon tea
  • A calm Saturday afternoon reset
  • A sense of achievement and clarity heading into the holiday season

This session is perfect if you:

  • want to finish something before the year ends
  • need help getting started
  • feel stuck and want fresh ideas
  • crave a creative break from everyday stress
  • want accountability and encouragement
  • are brand‑new and want to try Studio Yellow in a gentle, welcoming way
  • want to explore creativity without committing to a full workshop
  • want to support Queensland Mental Health Week in a meaningful, hands‑on way

What to Bring

Bring your project and any materials you need. Bulky items like Easels, Water containers etc, are provided. Tea and coffee are supplied, and you are welcome to bring your favourite cold drinks.

Why You’ll Love It

You’ll walk away feeling lighter, clearer, and proud of what you achieved — whether you completed your project, made meaningful progress, or finally decided on your next creative step.

It’s the perfect way to honour your creativity, support your well-being, and contribute to a great cause before the year wraps up.
